BIOVELA Group was founded in 1994 by a family with the ambition to produce high quality meat products from local raw materials. They looked to the future, focusing on long-term growth rather than short-term profits. In a constantly growing organisation, they adhered to the company's cultural values in which they believed.
Today, BIOVELA Group is the largest and most innovative meat processing company in Lithuania and one of the leading meat producers in Central Europe, with a wide range of fresh meat products, meat products and meat snacks. BIOVELA Group employs 1,400 people and produces around 70,000 tonnes of meat products per year. The Group has an annual turnover of EUR 235 million.
The BIOVELA Group focuses on responsible consumption and sustainable production. With the largest solar power plant in northern Europe and the roofs of production buildings, we are contributing to this goal. 25% of our electricity consumption comes from renewable sources and we confidently dream of achieving full energy autonomy in the future.
